Located in the city of the Mystery, which has always had a very close link with Magic, the association “IL CIRCOLO DEGLI AMICI DELLA MAGIA DI TORINO” was founded in the 60s by a group fond of magic.
Their main objective has always been to research and preserve the Magic Art. Since the early nineteenth century, magicians of great level were trained in this club and today, world-famous illusionists often visit the spaces of the association.
A HISTORY STARTED IN 1740
The « royal theatre» of Turin was inaugurated on December 26th , 1740. Its history is long and composed of destruction - due to the world wars and other tragedies - rebuildings and extensions. With its regal style, it still hosts operas, ballets and classical concerts. The Theatre hides two underground floors in which are distributed rehearsal rooms of the big stage size, tailor's laboratories, dressing rooms, technical rooms, archives, a canteen and the "Piccolo Regio" (small room used for prose shows).
Today the theatre offers a rich Opera and Ballet Season as well as many activities during all the year
The love between Torino and Cinema is fully reciprocated and has its roots in the early 1900s when the first prose theatres and production companies were born.
The Lumiére brothers showed their famous invention for the first time in Italy in 1895. In 1896 the first for a fee movie in Italy was projected in “Via Po”. Today in the city we can see many historical cinemas and there are a lot of places in the historical center that have been used to make famous movie scenes.

The Porta Palazzo market is the largest outdoor market in Europe.
It first appeared in Piazza della Repubblica in 1835: around 180 stalls are today installed in the Place. Around the several stalls we can find: the central market of Turin, where it is possible to visit the ancient underground iceboxes and others building in which we can find: the fish market, the food market and the clock market.
